How Do I Submit a Maintenance Request?
If you have a maintenance request, please submit a work order via the BVS Online Portal that can be found at www.bayvilleshores.connectresident.com. This allows us to track all requests through completion.
What Can I Put in the BVS Dumpsters?
BVS has 10 dumpsters conveniently located throughout the community that are for use by BVS homeowners, renters, and guests. Trash is picked up Monday and Thursday off season, and including Saturday peak season (Memorial Day - Labor Day) after 7:00 am. All trash must be in plastic bags and then placed inside the dumpsters. Items that are too large for plastic bags, must be placed inside of the dumpster as well. Cardboard boxes must be broken down. Please do not leave any trash on the ground or on top of the dumpster - all trash must go inside. If it is full, please find another dumpster in the community. Please keep the doors and top CLOSED at all times as we have animals in the community that love to enjoy a free dinner and can attack when someone deposits their trash. Any trash left on the ground incurs a fee for BVS.
Does BVS Have Recycling?
Not at this time. You can bring your recycling to the Omar Collection Station in Frankford, DE.
Can I Have a Pet at BVS?
Pets are welcome! BVS homeowners can have up to two domestic pets per home and must be kept on a leash and under proper control when they are outside and they are not allowed to be tethered. Common areas are designated for walking pets – but please refrain from using your neighbor’s space in the limited common areas. BVS homeowners are responsible for immediately removing any waste and are encouraged to use the bags at the BVS pet waste stations throughout the community. Renters are prohibited from having pets at BVS.
What Are the Rules About Noise at BVS?
The making of loud noise of any kind, including the use of musical instruments, music, televisions and amplifiers which may disturb other residents, is prohibited.
Does BVS Have Quiet Hours?
Yes. 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.
What Are the Rules for Parking at BVS?
Parking in designated lined spaces is for BVS homeowner's non-commercial tagged and operational motorized vehicles, and guests. Commercial motorized vehicles, boats, jet skis, trailers, and RVs can't be parked in designated spaces. Trailers, boats, and jet skis may be temporarily parked at a homeowners’ unit while preparing to launch, but not for more than two hours. Commercial vehicles are authorized when work is being performed in a home. Trailers may be parked at the boat ramp in designated spaces when homeowners have launched a boat. There is no overnight parking of trailers or boats allowed and towing of unauthorized vehicles will occur within 24 hours of a violation notice.
Does BVS Have a Speed Limit?
Yes. Please follow speed limit as posted. Property is monitored by State Police who are authorized to issue speeding tickets.
How Can I Use the Boat Ramp?
The BVS Boat Ramp is open all year to BVS homeowners, renters and guests. The BVS Community Boat Ramp and staging area has direct access to Dirickson Creek and the kayak rack. Do I Need a Permit to Access the Water from the Boat Ramp?
No boat ramp certificate is needed. You do need a NASBLA (nationally approved) boat license to be out in the water or approved boating safety education. If you are born before 1978 no boat license needed. Riders must have a life vest, fire extinguisher, a whistle, and an engine key safety lanyard on your wrist at all times. Patrol officers check on all of this regularly, including those riding jet skis.
What are the Rules for Using the Pool?
The normal hours of operation are 10:00 am - 8:00 pm, typically from Memorial Day to Labor Day unless otherwise noted. There are no Lifeguards so BVS homeowners, renters and guests swim at their own risk. For the safety and welfare of all BVS pool users, the following rules apply:
How Do I Get Into the Fitness Center?
Users must be 16 years of age to use equipment. Users need a fob to enter. If you do not have a fob or your fob does not work, you must contact Tina Hohenstein, BVS Community Manager at Tina.Hohenstein@fsresidential.com to obtain access to locked amenities.
Can I Kayak in the Ponds?
No, you may not kayak in any BVS pond.
Can I Eat the Fish from BVS Ponds?
No. BVS ponds are CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY. There have been reports of folks removing the fish from the ponds, which are storm water retention areas and contain runoff from the local streets, farms, as well as chemicals to control algae, etc. Please don’t swim or eat the fish from the ponds.
Can I Feed the Birds and Wildlife?
Given the wildlife in the area, bird feeders and houses are prohibited except for hummingbird nectar. BVS homeowners, renters and guests are encouraged to enjoy wildlife from a distance but please do not feed them, especially geese and ducks.
Can My Kids Skateboard at BVS?
No. Skateboarding is prohibited on the property.
Can I Grill at BVS?
Yes. Charcoal grills are not allowed but electric and gas grills can be used in an open space at least 10 feet from the footprint of the home in the front or back. Grills are not allowed on any deck and all grills must be put away by end of day.
Can I Make a Bonfire or Have a Fire pit?
No. Bonfires, fireworks, and any open fires are prohibited.
What Can I Do to the Outside of My Home?
Any changes to the exterior of a home requires prior authorization by the BVS Board. We ask BVS homeowners to follow procedures outlined within the BVS Architectural Guidelines, which can be found on the BVS Online Portal that can be found at www.bayvilleshores.connectresident.com. Homeowners can plant flowers within the beds surrounding each house. Trimming and maintaining these changes are the responsibility of the homeowner. Only neutral color or white window treatments can be seen from the outside of each home. Cardboard or sheets can't hang from windows - inside or outside.
Can I Have My Personal Belongings Outside of My Home?
Yes. Homeowners can have porch furniture and other personal items on front and back decks and porches. Clothing, bedding, linen, towels, and other items of personal property can't be hung on any exterior balcony railings or any other exterior part of the building. Clothes lines or similar devices also can't be placed on any common elements. All items in any common area should be put away by the end of each night, which includes chairs, tables, coolers, etc. Kayaks and canoes must be placed in the rental kayak/canoe racks at the BVS Boat Ramp or stored in a garage or on a back porch, and not behind any home on common area.
Can I Hang a Sign at BVS?
“For Sale” or “For Rent” signs can be placed in the window of any home. “Open House” signs are permitted for 48 hours during any one week period. A flyer box is allowed in the area outside a home or building.
Can I Mount a Satellite Dish at BVS?
Yes. Satellite dishes should be ground mounted only and it does require advance approval from the BVS Board of Directors. Satellite dishes are prohibited from hanging on any exterior structure.
What Does it Mean When Amazon Says a Package Was Delivered to a Parcel Locker?
Go to your regular letter box at the BVS Community Post Office. Inside will be a key with a letter and number. Open the appropriate box, take your package, and leave the key in the door.

- When Pool Monitors are on duty, users must follow instructions from them.
- Pool Monitors may demand that anyone leave the pool area if rules are not followed.
- Homeowners, renters, and guests must enter the pool through the front gate and give their name and unit number. All guests and renters must be registered with the Pool Monitor.
- No pets are allowed in the pool area at any time.
- Any person not toilet trained or who is incontinent must wear appropriate protective waterproof plastic pants.
- Children under the age of 6 must be within arm’s reach of their parent or supervising adult.
- Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at least 18 years of age.
- Beach or nerf balls are allowed during “low-use” periods of time and at discretion of the Pool Monitor.
- To be fair and courteous, please note that if you are not present at the pool, your personal belongings can be moved. This is a first come, first serve pool for use of chairs and tables.
- Please return chairs to their original position, lower umbrellas, and clean off your table upon departure.
- Appropriate swim attire is required. No wool or street clothes as some materials cause disruption to water balance and can clog filters.
- No food or drink is allowed in the pool or within 5 feet of the pool's edge.
- Diving is not allowed.
- No glass containers are allowed.
- No loud music, running or horseplay on the pool deck is allowed for your safety and that of others.
- No Smoking of any kind is allowed, including vaping, e-cigarettes, cigars, etc.
- The pool may be closed at the discretion of the Pool Monitor, or Community Manager in the case of weather or operational breakdown.
- Lap lanes are to be used for lap swimming, fitness walking and exercise.
- Showering is required before entering the pool.
- The pool stairway must be kept clear for people entering and exiting the pool.
- Any injuries must be reported immediately to the Pool Monitor or Community Manager.
