BVS Amenities
BVS is a private community and all amenities including our boat launch area and ponds are for the use of BVS homeowners, their renters, and guests only.
Most BVS amenities require a key fob for access that are under the control and supervision of the management company. If you do not have a fob or your fob does not work, contact Tina Hohenstein, BVS Community Manager at Tina.Hohenstein@fsresidential.com to access locked amenities. There are so many amenities that are part of Bayville Shores! Here is some basic information about BVS amenities for homeowners, renters, and guests. Read the latest Rules & Regulations here and please work together to keep our beautiful community safe and clean. BVS Ponds: BVS has three beautifully maintained freshwater ponds with perch, sunfish, bass and catfish and host a wide array of wildlife. Our ponds are protected and monitored by the State of Delaware, the BVS Ponds Committee, and the BVS environmental contractor. In order for BVS homeowners, renters and guests to fully enjoy our ponds, we ask that no growth in these areas is disturbed. There is NO kayaking in the ponds. These amenities are for BVS homeowners, guests, and renters only.
BVS Piers: BVS has three piers for homeowners, renters and guests - two that are located in the ponds, and one that is located on a canal. These amenities are for BVS homeowners, guests, and renters only. BVS Fishing: Fishing is permitted in Ponds 2 and 3 with the following restrictions:
BVS Canals and Coastline: BVS has three canals that are part of Dirickson Creek, Little Assawoman Bay and a beautiful coastline that surrounds the community. Our canals and coastline are protected and monitored by the State of Delaware and the BVS environmental contractor. BVS Boat Ramp: The BVS boat ramp is open all year to BVS homeowners, renters and guests. The BVS Community boat ramp and staging area have direct access to Dirickson Creek and Little Assawoman Bay, and a kayak rack. Users need a fob to enter. BVS Boat Storage: BVS has a boat storage facility that can house up to twenty boats that are up to 15 x 15 x 30 in size. Each boat storage unit is individually owned. Upper Spaces: rental fee for upper spaces per season is $50.00. Lower Spaces: rental fee for lower spaces per season is $100.00. The BVS Community Manager will announce when Kayak Storage Applications and Rental Resolutions will open each season. The application as well as payment must be submitted together to hold a space. Spaces are on a first come first served basis. BVS Post Office: BVS has a community post office that is centrally located, with parking. BVS homeowners can apply for a mailbox and key at the Selbyville Post Office. BVS Solar Panel: The BVS solar project stands as a testament to the flexibility photovoltaic solar can provide communities and facilities. Over thirty years, the solar panel will generate over 1.5 million kWh of electricity, while not disrupting the view of a single BVS homeowner. Learn more here. |
BVS Pool Complex: BVS has an olympic sized swimming pool, baby pool, and large sun deck with tables, chairs and umbrellas for use by BVS homeowners, renters and guests. The pool is open daily 10:00 am - 8:00 pm barring inclement weather from the 2nd Saturday before Memorial Day through the 2nd Sunday after Labor Day. During peak season a Certified Pool Operator is on-site to provide access control and monitoring. Users need a fob to enter.
BVS Community Center: BVS has a Community Center that is centrally located as part of the Pool Complex, and has restrooms, showers, a service area and the on-site office of the BVS Community Manager, First Service Residential that has office hours 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. BVS Fitness Center: The BVS Fitness Center is located on the second floor of the BVS Community Center and is open to BVS homeowners, renters and guests between 6:00 am – 10:00 pm. This fitness center has a variety of commercial grade has a number of treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines, free weights, and a pilates bar. It also has a kitchen, bathroom, water cooler, television and a community library. The views of one of the BVS ponds and Dirickson Creek are spectacular. Users must be 16 years of age to use equipment. Users need a fob to enter. BVS Basketball Court: BVS has one full-sized basketball court for use by BVS homeowners, renters and guests April – September from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm and October – March from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm. Located near the BVS Pickleball and Tennis Courts, users need a fob to enter and are asked to limit play to one hour during busy times. BVS Tennis Court: BVS has one regulation-sized, hard surface tennis court for use by BVS homeowners, renters and guests May – September from 7:30 am - 8:30 pm, and October – April from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Located near the BVS Basketball and Pickleball Courts, users need a fob to enter and are asked to limit play to one hour during busy times. BVS Pickleball Courts: BVS has four regulation-sized, hard-surface Pickleball Courts for use by BVS homeowners, renters and guests May – September from 7:30 am - 8:30 pm, and October – April from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Located near the BVS Basketball Court, and Tennis Court, users need a fob to enter and are asked to limit play to one hour during busy times. BVS Shuffleboard Count and Horseshoe Pits: BVS has a an official size shuffleboard court located next to two official sized horseshoe pits.Equipment can be found in the Fitness Center. BVS Beach Volleyball Court: BVS has a beach volleyball court with a sand court surface that is centrally located by the pool and playground. BVS Playground: BVS has a beautifully maintained playground that is centrally located by the pools, with rubber mulch that has slides, swings, and a jungle gym. BVS Walking/Biking Path: The BVS community offers opportunities to walk, jog, and bike throughout - we have sidewalks, low-traffic roads, and a beautiful walking and biking path that connects the community. BVS Gazebos: BVS has two beautiful gazebos with benches that are located on several of our ponds with beautiful views. |
